Geminee’s First Release Packs a 126 BPM House Groove Into Two Minutes and 39 Seconds

My Melodies runs at about 126 beats per minute, measured from its preview, and it is over in two minutes and 39 seconds. That is club tempo in a pop-length frame. Released on 26 June 2026, the single is the first ever release by Geminee, made from start to finish with her partner, the Montreal DJ and producer Andrew Pololos.

Andrew Pololos and Geminee have My Melodies in the playlist below, alongside our vocal house and dance pop picks, and Andrew Pololos’ artist profile carries the wider coverage. The single reached this desk through PopHits.Co Music Charts, which verifies independent artists and places their releases across its network of music news desks. Hit play on it first, then keep reading for the preset trick that explains the groove.

Geminee and Andrew Pololos Cut a Club Tempo House Groove Down to Playlist Size

Start with the tempo. Around 126 beats per minute sits in the middle of the house range. It is fast enough to push a dancefloor and slow enough for a vocal to ride on top. Meanwhile, the kick keeps four even beats to the bar, and everything else hangs off that grid.

Now the length. A club record usually runs long, so a DJ can mix in and out of it. My Melodies does the opposite. At 126 beats per minute, two minutes and 39 seconds comes to roughly 84 bars. As a result, there is no room for a long intro, and the hook has to arrive early and keep coming back. The pair list the parts plainly: an infectious vocal hook, a club-shaking bassline, housy synth stabs and driving electronic rhythms.

The synth stab is the technique to listen for. A stab is a short chord hit that cuts off almost as soon as it sounds, so it punctuates the groove instead of filling it. House producers have leaned on factory presets for this since the early nineties. The best-known case is Show Me Love by Robin S. When StoneBridge remixed it, he clicked from the Korg M1’s Pick Bass preset to the next one, Organ 2. He then built the famous riff from that organ sound over the kick drum. The lesson stuck: one strong preset, played short and rhythmic, can carry a whole record.

So here is how to hear it on My Melodies. First, follow the kick. Then listen for the synth stabs, the short chord hits the pair describe as housy, and for the bassline moving underneath. Once the grid is clear, the vocal hook reads as the top layer of a very simple machine.

Geminee’s First Release Is a Vocal House Record Made From Start to Finish by Two People

The vocal is where the record changes hands. Geminee calls herself a producer, singer and songwriter, and My Melodies is her first release. The couple made the track entirely themselves, from start to finish. Pololos brings the production side, as a producer and mix and mastering engineer. In other words, the song went from their own sessions to the streaming services without passing through anyone else’s studio.

That matters for the vocal, too. A short house single lives or dies on its hook. Here, the vocal hook does the job a long breakdown would do on an extended mix. It gives the dancefloor something to wait for. In a track this short, it also has to land before a playlist listener reaches for the skip button.

Andrew Pololos Brings Eighteen Years of DJing to a Two Minute House Single

The short form makes more sense against Pololos’s background. He has worked as a DJ for 18 years, by his own count, and holds a residency at New City Gas in Montreal. His site lists more than a thousand events, shared bills with David Guetta, Tiesto and Martin Garrix, and a residency with The Yacht Week. It also credits him with co-producing Karl Wolf’s Get Away, which was nominated for Dance Recording of the Year at the 2022 Juno Awards.

His own records have moved around the house map. The debut album, Until We Dance, arrived in 2021. Before it, DMC World covered its lead single, the deep house track Control with JT Soul, in November 2020. Later, the Sunbloom EP took a Mediterranean turn, with keyboards from Alexandros Batsoulis, bouzouki and oud from Bobby Tsigakis, and clarinet and ney flute from George Milionis.

Against that, My Melodies is a deliberate trim. A producer who knows how long a club track needs to breathe has cut this one to the length a streaming playlist rewards. The groove stays at club tempo, and the hook stays up front. Altogether, the whole structure fits in the time an extended mix would spend on its intro.

From the ElectroPop.News Curator Team: “My Melodies proves you can keep club tempo and still finish before the three-minute mark. The groove is simple on purpose, which leaves Geminee’s hook all the room it needs.”

What Came Next for Geminee and Andrew Pololos

Geminee did not stop at one release. In July 2026 she appeared on midnight, a single with vistica, and an extended version followed in September. Two releases in, the pattern is clear: a singer who writes for the dancefloor and works inside short, sharp house forms.
