Why Alt-R&B Keeps Coming Back on DE MÁS, a Single by Dripz and Axo
Why Alt-R&B Keeps Coming Back on DE MÁS, a Single by Dripz and Axo
A Self-Produced Venezuelan Single Turns One Repeated Line Into a Late-Night Hook
The beat on DE MÁS came from Dripz, and so did the mix and the master. Dripz and Axo released the single on 24 September 2026. It runs to three minutes and 24 seconds of alternative pop, R&B and electronic music in Spanish. It is a compact, self-made production, and its best idea fits in one sentence.
Dripz is in the playlist below with DE MÁS, featuring Axo, and the Dripz profile holds the rest of the coverage. The single reached this desk through PopHits.Co Music Charts, which verifies independent artists and places their releases across its network of music news sites. Listen to the hook a few times, then read on.

Te Estoy Pensando De Más Is the Hook, and the Title Comes Straight Out of It
The chorus opens on te estoy pensando de más: I am thinking about you too much. The phrase gives the song its title. It comes round twice in each chorus, then once more as the final line of the record.
De más is a neat piece of Spanish. It means too much, more than anyone needs. That suits a song about a thought that will not switch off. Around it, the chorus sets the scene in two quick lines. The speaker stands under the spotlights, still thinking about someone who is not there.
That is the alt-R&B template in miniature, and it explains why the style keeps coming back. The Weeknd set it out in 2011 with House of Balloons. He gave that debut mixtape away free through his own label, XO. Fifteen years on, an independent act in Venezuela still builds from the same parts: a party, a phone and a conscience.

Club Lights, a Text Message and Dopamine Fill the Lyric of DE MÁS by Dripz and Axo
The first verse is all screens and glare. There are lights on a face and flashes in the club and on a phone. Then a message arrives: no te vayas, don’t go. The speaker admits they would rather have been beside the person who sent it.
The second verse is nearly the morning after. Dawn is close, the speaker has been thrown out of places, and they are chasing dopamine in every direction. Next comes the most honest moment in the song. It is a plea not to be seen like this: esto no soy yo, this is not me.
Then the bridge turns the hook around. Te estoy pensando como antes, I am thinking of you like before. The speaker is sure the other person feels the same on nights alone, without saying so.
Two writers share the words. The Spotify credits list David Josue Delpretti Zurita and Daniel Alejandro López Salazar as the lyricists and the two vocalists. Delpretti Zurita is also credited as composer and executive producer. So the writing and the production sit with the same person.
Spanish-language alt-R&B already has a famous model for this kind of longing. Kali Uchis released telepatía in 2020 on Sin Miedo (del Amor y Otros Demonios). It is a song about reaching someone she could not be with. DE MÁS is the club-floor version of the same ache. The other person is absent, yet the thinking never stops.

Dripz and Axo Build DE MÁS From Two Verses, Two Choruses and a Bridge, Then End on the Hook
The shape is classic pop. It runs verse, chorus, verse and chorus, then a bridge, and the outro keeps only the hook line.
Each chorus adds something, too. The second one trades the spotlights for a confession. The speaker is seen with someone else, and their whole soul is hurt. So the same hook carries more weight the second time round.
Collaboration is the Dripz method. Since June 2025, almost every release has paired the project with another artist. Four songs with Zodaa came out on 11 June 2025. Then Fuimos and Tanto que decir with Valentina followed in January 2026. After that came Azul with Spraig on 14 February. NO ES LO QUE DICES with Sangre de Lirio arrived in May. The one exception, Vete in March, came out under the Dripz name alone.
Each release also gets a lyric video on the Dripz YouTube channel, and this time Axo made it. Beyond the music, Dripz runs the visuals, the content and the marketing as well. The Instagram bio sums up that independent setup in four words: artista a mi manera, an artist my own way.
It suits listeners who like their R&B late-night and their pop in Spanish. It also suits anyone who has stared at a message in a loud room and overthought it.
ElectroPop.News’s curator team: “Listen for the jump from the first verse into the chorus. A message says don’t go, then a line admits to thinking of someone too much. The whole song lives in the distance between those two lines.”
