VEM NA LUA Gives Corb Schemitz One Phonk Track at Five Different Speeds

An Amethyst Label Release Blends American Phonk Bass with Brazilian Funk Rhythm in 71 Seconds

The defining production choice on VEM NA LUA is a playback speed, not a synth patch. Corb Schemitz cut a 71-second phonk track with heavy American phonk bass and Brazilian funk rhythm. Then the producer released it five times: as the original, sped up, slowed, super slowed and ultra slowed. The EP came out on 31 July 2026.

Corb Schemitz’s VEM NA LUA plays in our Synth Wave, Synthwave, Retrowave playlist below, so the original version is one click away. Every article about the artist sits on the Corb Schemitz artist profile. The EP reached ElectroPop.News through PopHits.Co Music Charts, which verifies independent artists and places their releases across its network of music news titles. Press play on the original first, then read on for the other four speeds.

VEM NA LUA Arrives on Amethyst, a 2026 Label Built for Phonk, Brazilian Funk and Angelcore

The label context matters for reading this record. Amethyst launched in 2026 as a sub-label of SIGMA LABEL LLC. It describes its focus plainly: phonk, Brazilian funk, hardtekk and angelcore. Its own catalogue also shows the same five-version habit, so VEM NA LUA sits inside a house format rather than an experiment.

The format tells you where this music lives, too. Phonk first grew online as a revival of 1990s Memphis rap aesthetics. Then came drift phonk, the faster, cowbell-heavy style that spread through TikTok from 2020. By the mid-2020s, Brazilian funk automotivo, often labelled Brazilian phonk outside Brazil, had joined it in the same short-video feeds.

A track built for that world has to work in a 15-second clip as well as on a full listen. A 71-second original does both, and that is the brief this EP answers.

The Portuguese Title and the Brazilian Funk Side of the Record

The title points to the Brazilian half of the sound. VEM NA LUA is Portuguese, roughly come to the moon, and it sets the tone for a track that leans on the rhythm of Brazilian funk. In addition, Spotify marks every one of the five versions as explicit, so the vocal side is part of the design.

Corb Schemitz’s own artist bio is short: an American phonk and Brazilian phonk producer who loves music. That two-sided identity shapes the whole record. The American side brings the heavy bass that drift phonk made famous. Meanwhile, the Brazilian side brings syncopated, aggressive drum patterns built for movement. Putting them in one short track is a practical choice, because both scenes share the same listeners and the same platforms.

Two names help place it. Kordhell, the British producer behind Murder in My Mind, became the first phonk producer to break into Spotify’s top 500 most popular artists. Similarly, INTERWORLD, the Russian producer behind Metamorphosis, showed how far a phonk track can travel online. Corb Schemitz works in the same lane, with a Brazilian accent on the drums.

Five Speeds and One Song Show How the Structure Works for Video Editors and Listeners

The structure is where the craft shows. Every version keeps the same song, but each one changes the playback speed. The running times show how far each one goes. For example, the slowed version runs 79 seconds, the super slowed version 89 seconds and the ultra slowed version 100 seconds. In other words, the ultra slowed cut plays at roughly seven tenths of the original speed.

Each speed serves a different use. The original suits a quick clip or a playlist slot. By contrast, the slowed versions suit longer edits and late-night listening, where a darker pulse matters more than energy. As a result, one recording does the work of five. A video editor can pick the tempo that fits a cut, rather than re-editing the cut to fit the song.

Where VEM NA LUA Sits Among the Many Corb Schemitz Singles and EPs on Streaming Platforms

Corb Schemitz releases often. Apple Music lists singles such as Ignite and Midnight Krush from late 2024. It also lists Funk of the Afterlife with Phonk Tribe in 2025, and three EPs in early 2026: MONTAGEM PRESSÁGIO with SXLMIXDE and NIGHTSHXDE, Luz De Verao and Siento Yo. Deezer, meanwhile, counts more than 50 releases under the name.

The five-speed plan is not new either. On SoundCloud, FUNK DE TOMA appears in the same five forms, from the original to an ultra slowed version. That consistency suggests a producer who thinks about how tracks get used after release, not only about how they sound on first play.

For listeners new to phonk, VEM NA LUA is a quick way in. Start with the original, and then jump straight to the ultra slowed version to hear how much the same idea changes when the speed drops.

From the ElectroPop.News Curator Team: “The sped-up version is the odd one out. It trims only three seconds from the original, so it keeps the feel of the track intact while every other version pulls the tempo down.”
