Four Versions of One Hook on What I Should See by Peter Agyagos, and How to Hear It
Four Versions of One Hook on What I Should See by Peter Agyagos, and How to Hear It
A Slovak Producer Active Since 1998 Builds a Four-Version Vocal Dance EP
What I Should See ends with the Back To 90s Mix, a cut of two minutes and 23 seconds. Peter Agyagos built it from the sounds and instruments of 90s club music. It closes a four-version vocal dance EP from 29 January 2024 and explains where the whole release sits.
Peter Agyagos’s radio edit of What I Should See is in our dance pop and vocal house playlist below, and the producer’s full coverage file sits on Peter Agyagos’s artist profile. The EP reached this desk through PopHits.Co Music Charts, the programme that verifies independent artists and places their releases across its network of music news sites. Give it a spin, then keep reading for all four versions.

The 90s Dance Revival, and Why What I Should See by Peter Agyagos Fits It So Easily
The 90s club sound has spent the last few years climbing back into the charts. The clearest proof came in 2023 with Miracle by Calvin Harris and Ellie Goulding. Built on trance-era synths and a big vocal hook, it went to number one in the UK. Its success showed that a programmed lead and a four-to-the-floor kick could still carry a pop vocal.
The toolkit behind that revival is familiar to anyone who heard dance radio in the 90s. Piano stabs, bright supersaw leads, rolling bass lines and a vocal written for a crowd all came back at once. In short, producers stopped treating that sound as a relic and started treating it as a preset bank.
That is where What I Should See lands. It is a commercial vocal dance track first, with the radio-friendly length and the clear topline the format needs. Then the Back To 90s Mix turns the same song towards the revival. It swaps the modern production for the sounds of the original era.

A DJ Cobra Veteran Who Was There the First Time Round
Peter Agyagos has a long head start on this revival. According to the producer’s own site, Agyagos is a Slovak electronic music producer who has released as DJ Cobra since 1998. Over the years, a run of other aliases followed, including Adjo, A-Style, Blizzard and Tunnel Force.
The remix work reads like a tour of dance radio. The site lists remixes for Armin van Buuren, Tiësto, Kelly Clarkson and Carly Rae Jepsen. In 2012 Agyagos remixed No Freedom by Dido, and that version later appeared on her 2013 greatest hits compilation. On Spotify, the DJ Cobra mix of No Freedom is still the most-played track on the artist page.
In late 2021, Agyagos founded the label Avatique Music, which released What I Should See. By early 2024, by the producer’s own count, the catalogue had passed 250 original tracks and remixes.

Four Versions of What I Should See by Peter Agyagos, From Radio Edit to the Back To 90s Mix
The EP is built like a 90s maxi-single. Each version is programmed for a different job, and together they cover radio, the club and the living room.
- What I Should See (2:42): the radio edit, with the vocal up front and no time wasted.
- Extended Mix (3:49): the DJ version, with more room at each end for a transition.
- Someone Else Mix (2:41): a softer, more ballad-like reading of the same song.
- Back To 90s Mix (2:23): the throwback, rebuilt with the sounds and instruments of 90s club music.
That spread is the craft point here. A single topline has to survive four arrangements. So the hook must work both as a ballad and as a club record. Meanwhile, the video’s own description files the track under EDM, dance, electronic and electro pop. That covers the same range in four words.
The radio edit is also the second most-played track on the artist’s Spotify page, behind the Dido remix. So the version built for streaming is the one listeners return to most.
Where Peter Agyagos Sits Beside Calvin Harris, Ellie Goulding and Dido
The adjacent acts are easy to name. Fans of Miracle, a big vocal over a trance-era backing, will hear the same idea in the Back To 90s Mix. Listeners who know the Dido remix will recognise how Agyagos treats a vocal: clean, central and given plenty of space.
The catalogue keeps moving, too. The producer’s site lists a new Tunnel Force single, Turn The Lights Off, from July 2026, and an If It Hurts EP with the singer Jacinta as coming up. Agyagos has also reworked other songs for the same audience, including a 2025 remix EP of Liv Rahel’s Voyage Voyage.
ElectroPop.News’s curator team: “The Back To 90s Mix is the version to start with, because it shows the song’s bones. Strip a track back to the sounds of an older era and a weak hook falls apart. This one holds.”
For a first listen, play the radio edit and then the Back To 90s Mix back to back. The same melody changes era in under five minutes.
